The legal clash between Texas and the Biden administration centers on state versus federal authority over immigration|@TexasBorderCzar|X

The Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday set off a legal rollercoaster regarding immigration regulations along the Southern border.

The court allowed Texas to proceed with implementing its stringent immigration law, SB 4, which grants the state the authority to arrest and deport noncitizens.

But the decision was swiftly countered by another court, blocking Texas’s efforts for the time being.

The conflict arises from Texas’s assertion of state jurisdiction over federal border control, a stance vigorously opposed by the Biden administration.

SB 4, signed into law in December, criminalizes illegal border crossings at the state level, empowering Texas law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Mexico has adamantly refused to accept deportations from Texas, citing concerns over human rights violations.
