The former president’s office released a statement in which Biden shared that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has spread to the bones.

The statement also added that the condition can be managed effectively and that he is exploring treatment options. Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among older men in the US.

The news comes as Biden appeared on The View this month and pushed back against claims of his cognitive decline.
