Three kids and three adults were killed in a shooting in The Covenant School in Nashville on Monday, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

The shooter, a 28-year-old former student of the elementary school, was shot and killed by the police.

The MNPD called the shooting “calculated and planned.”

The shooter used two “assault-type guns and a 9-millimeter pistol,” and had detailed maps of the school and its security protocols.

President Joe Biden called the elementary school shooting “sick” and “a family’s worst nightmare.”

Mass shootings this year
