President Donald Trump ended the interview with Kristen Welker by calling NBC a ‘one-sided crooked network’

President Donald Trump abruptly ended NBC’s Meet the Press interview on Sunday when pressed on a wide array of issues, including the Iran war and the “anti-weaponization fund.”

Before walking out on the show hosted by Kristen Welker, Trump defended the concept of the nearly $1.8 billion ‘anti-weaponization’ fund to compensate January 6 defendants on a case-by-case basis.

Trump dismissed concerns about agricultural financial struggles, insisting that farmers are doing very well despite facing pressure from a drought, his trade war, and higher fertilizer and gasoline costs.

When asked about his campaign pledge of not starting new wars, he said the Iran conflict is not an “endless war” and that it costs America “very little” to keep 50,000 US troops in place in the Middle East.

He said the “red line” for restarting harsh military action would be if diplomatic talks with Iran do not progress fast enough.

Trump also praised Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s bravery during the talks, calling him more rational than his father.

The interview ended on a tense note, with Trump criticizing NBC and calling it a “one-sided crooked network” before leaving the program.
