LeBron James, his business partner Maverick Carter, along with fellow NBA champions Draymond Green and Kevin Love are the latest owners of a Major League Pickleball (MLP) team.

MLP—founded in 2021—already has high-profile investors like former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk. Seeing the success, the league plans to expand from 12 to 16 teams in 2023.

Pickleball, a combination of tennis, ping pong, and badminton, is already the fastest-growing sport in the country, according to founder Steve Kuhn.
